Notice Before Use
Precautions before powering on QuecPi Alpha single-board computer:
- Ensure QuecPi Alpha is not placed on a cluttered surface. A protective film should be placed underneath to prevent QuecPi Alpha from contacting with metallic foreign objects, which could short-circuit any two contact points beneath the board. In the case of long use, you should regularly check whether there is any foreign body on QuecPi Alpha to prevent short circuits. Additionally, protect the board from moisture, water, and dust.
- Check whether the power supply is properly connected. If yes, verify whether it can provide normal power output.
Debug Cable Connection
During development, communication with QuecPi Alpha is typically performed via UARTs. Network is also a possible way for communication but it requires QuecPi Alpha's IP address first. Therefore, UARTs are essential for communication setup.
Locate the connector labeled “DBG_UART” (the debug UART) and connect it to a USB-to-serial converter debug UART cable. The other end should be plugged into a USB port on your computer (or a USB hub).

Precautions on Power Supply
It is recommended to use a 27 W power adapter that supports the PD protocol.
Charging Cable
The QuecPi Alpha charging cable is optional, but you are recommended to purchase one. A standard Type-C cable (commonly used for Android phones) can be used, but it must support 5 A current output.
Charger Plug
The QuecPi Alpha requires a 5V/5A PD-compliant charger plug. Insufficient current may cause operational issues, so you are recommended to use a certified charger.
